GENERAL RULES

Minimum Trading Days

• Evaluation: 3 trading days

• Funded: 3 profitable days with atleast 0.5% profit based on your starting balance for that day, and your overall account balance is above the initial starting balance.

• Impact on Payouts: For every payout interval, you must meet the Minimum Profitable Trading Days requirement to qualify for payout.

Expert Advisor (EAs)

• ThinkCapital supports automated trading and Expert Advisors on all account types, provided the tools are compatible with the ThinkTrader platform. Users must contact support via email to notify them of third-party software usage, as the platform may require a review of the strategy for compliance.

Copy Trading

• Traders are allowed to use copy trading between Think Capital accounts. To use copy trading between your other prop firm accounts and Personal accounts, you must use your Think Capital account as the master account. However, ThinkTrader does not have the functionality of traditional Expert Advisors (Trade copiers) in the same way as MT5. Trade Copiers compatible with ThinkTrader can be used for copy trading.

Inactivity Rule

• You must place at least one trade every 30 days to keep your account active. Failure to do so will result in account termination with no refund for challenge accounts and no payouts for funded accounts.

Gambling & Reckless Trading Policy

• ThinkCapital strictly prohibit any trading behavior that resembles gambling or reckless betting. Trading must be approached professionally, with sound risk management and consistency.
• Gambling behavior includes overleveraging, all-in trades, doubling down after losses (Martingale), overexposure to correlated assets, excessive high-frequency scalping, punting (placing a few high-risk trades hoping for quick wins), “coinflip” trading patterns, and account rolling.
• Accounts showing such behavior may receive warnings, profit deductions, resets, suspension, or permanent termination sometimes without prior notice if risk is extreme. Prohibited Trading practices/strategies

• Copy trading (between accounts not owned by the same person), Grid trading, Hedging or group hedging across multiple accounts, Collusion between users, Account sharing/account management/account sale, Latency arbitrage, High-frequency trading (HFT), Abuse of a delayed data feed, Abuse of the simulated environment, Trading on delayed charts, Unauthorized use of Expert Advisors (EAs), Challenge passing services, Martingale trading, Use of guarantee of compliance with limit orders, Trading in sanctioned countries, Exploiting platform or data freezing due to technical errors, News trading (within restricted window), Order layering, Gambling/punting. VPN/VPS Policy

• VPN use is generally prohibited. Multiple users on one account or unapproved automation are strictly forbidden. VPN/VPS use during KYC/AML verification is not allowed and may lead to account denial or breach.
• You’re permitted to use a VPS from ForexVPS for running your algos and EAs non-stop without disruption, but it’s crucial to ensure compliance with Terms and Condition.

Dynamic Leverage & News Event Multiplier

• During selected economic events, margin requirements may be multiplied for affected instruments.
• This change applies only to new positions opened during the event window; existing positions keep their original margin requirements
• Leverage automatically returns to normal once the event window ends

LIGHTNING (1-STEP & NEXUS (3-STEP) CHALLENGE

• News Trading Policy

• News trading is strictly prohibited on both Challenge and Funded accounts. No trades, order executions, or account activity (closing trades, executing trades, stop loss hits, take profit hits) are allowed within 2 minutes before and 2 minutes after any high-impact news event (as marked with a red folder on ForexFactory).
• Violations will result in an immediate account breach, termination of the funded agreement, and forfeiture of all profits
• Exception: News Trading Add-On

• Overnight | Weekend Holding/Trading (Crypto)

• Allowed

Lightning Drawdown Lock

• Overall maximum drawdown locks at initial account balance once it grows by 6%.

DUAL STEP INTRADAY (2-STEP)

• News Trading Policy

• News trading is strictly prohibited on both Challenge and Funded accounts. No trades, order executions, or account activity (closing trades, executing trades, stop loss hits, take profit hits) are allowed within 2 minutes before and 2 minutes after any high-impact news event (as marked with a red folder on ForexFactory).
• Violations will result in an immediate account breach, termination of the funded agreement, and forfeiture of all profits
• Exception: None

• Overnight Holding

• Allowed

• Weekend Holding/Trading (Crypto)

• Prohibited. Violation is a Hard Breach

DUAL STEP SWING (2-STEP)

• News Trading Policy

• Allowed With No Restrictions

Payouts:

• 80% (90% with scaling or add-on) Available every 14 days (unless purchased with the Weekly Payouts add-on).

Minimum Balance for Payout:

• $100 profit required to request a payout.

Scaling Plan

• Eligibility:
• Achieve 10% profit over 3 months (≈3.33% per month).
• Complete 3 withdrawals within the review cycle.

Scaling Increase:

• Each scaling event increases the account by 20% of the original starting balance.

Review Cycle

• Conducted every 3 months.

• Scaling up to $1.5 million

• If a trader qualifies for the scaling plan, it is their responsibility to reach out to support@thinkcapital.com. The processing will begin only after the trader emails ThinkCapital to initiate the request.
